Just going off what you said. I find it weird that folks take any number of reports of network outages of websites or apps on the chin except when it's the gop crashing grindr yet again at their convention (when they're all away from home with people with a similar vested interest in not being seen on grindr by their neighbours).

Suddenly then it most all be a hoax or bad data and needs arguing with and couldn't possibly be true. Weird closed mind shit.

Are you not taking the user reports on down detector at face value? All I pointed out is that those unverified reports conflict with official data about uptime. I even explicitly said there was a spike, as usual. It's just not literally breaking the app. Then you conjectured those baseless claims I don't hold simply because I said there's no real evidence the spike was so big it breaks the app

    Projection.

The "global outage" is your straw man. No one ever claimed that. The evidence is all about local outages to the host city of the RNC, and its happening regularly. A local outage likely wouldn't even register at grindr's end and is much more likely to be an issue at the local CDN (throttling an overload or not coping with the volume of requests) or some DNS issue.

But like I said, people like you take news about outages perfectly happily except when it's the gop convention overloading grindr as has become usual.

Suddenly then there's extreme skepticism because you can't accept that political views, which are socially transferred could conflict with sexuality which isn't.

Why would conservative households and neighborhoods somehow prevent bisexuality and homosexuality in their members? That's science denying shit. If you think being in the group being criticised somehow bars rightwingers from making hypocrisy-laden public condemnation, you really haven't been paying attention.

So that subpopulation exists, but of course is caused to feel great shame, hides it, and often has the best opportunity to go on grindr, without their neighbours recognising them, when they're away from home at the gop convention, where the vast majority of men on grindr are conservatives who share their social need for absolute secrecy. Of course there's a spike.

But no, suddenly, and with this specific outage, but no other report of outage, you're complaining that the outage monitoring websites are not to be trusted, their methodology is flawed, it's contradicting the global servers' claimed uptime or some other excuse. It's just reality denial, and it comes from the gop itself, who are the masters (in the western world) of reality denial and flooding the channel with shit and spray gun excuses.
