Love my EV. Most fun to drive car I've ever been in, bar none.

    Oh yeah! The joy of the open road is so much greater with that smooth and powerful responsiveness.

    And one pedal electric driving is a dream in traffic! I used to hate my commute and all the switching between first and second in slow moving queues. Now I glide effortlessly. Takes all the hassle out of it.

    Some manufacturers made a software gear change simulation. Idiots! Just press the pedal when you want to go faster! It doesn't need the delay, ceremony and sponginess of petrol and diesel!

    Seeing the difference between the EVs during test driving was so interesting. My EV was the first new car I am fortunate enough to own. I got it as a fuck you to big oil. This was in 2021 and a 2022 volvo. The math on the gas cost is basically broken by this war. I was able to get the $7k rebate and a under inflation loan rate. Listening to science can pay dividends folks.

    Yeah, it's a bit weird. Some manufacturers don't like change and think their customers want an EV to nostalgically underperform like the internal combustion engine. The Nissan was smooth, instantly responsive and powerful but another brand was weirdly grainy, and spongy like diesel off the line and like petrol on the motorway. Hopefully they got better now, but they have a bad record for security so I don't think I'll test drive another one when I get to that stage, but it doesn't make financial sense to go test driving now when I already have a car I love to pieces.
