But in all seriousness, the number of people with $2000 burning a hole in their pocket is smaller than the number with $500. Inflation adjusted, $500 is $805 today.

It's exactly in line with all the other foldables on the market, which seem to be doing just fine.

Also, very few people actually pay full price for phones. The VAST majority are getting them on deals through their carriers and holding onto them for 3-4 years, or financing through Apple directly.
