    Goode Homolosine is a classic, but wow I really like how smooth the Boggs is.

    My favourite is still the Waterman Butterfly, just fantastic!

    Honestly butterfly-style maps should be the default, you can tell shape, size, position, cardinal direction all relatively well, there's no major distortions, and Pacific-centered, Atlantic-centered, and north-down versions all work fine.

    Idk why I never see it in these discussions, but somehow the "wrong aspect ratio" Gall-peters map always pops up.
