IMHO (where H stands for "humble" rather than "honest" ...still honest too..): function over form. If it works better higher, who cares if they don't mirror positions of Trad™ cargo pockets?! New style is born, cargo pockets were new once themselves.

Also: Integrated dump pouch? Yes please. With a little workshopping (lift the position, fabric: cordura ripstop, integrated knee pad system [sewn in, or pockets/sell inserts, or make them fit Crye's or someone's], maybe a few more considerations), there's a market for this.
