BUT you can't tell their race, or see any identifying tattoos, etc, and cameras these days are actually good enough to pull fingerprints from in some cases.

That said, the camera lens itself likely has enough aberrations to forensically track too, so like, if OP is murdering women and sending pics to cops he's gonna need a second phone or the classic choice, a polaroid, but for posting pants pics online? This should be good enough.
