They scale just fine. Plus, they have no ongoing fuel or electricity costs.

It's a systems engineering game. Optimizing your way around boundary conditions is where all the fun parts are.

It's a sandbox factory building game. The "boundary conditions" you speak of are bugs and sloppy design.

I play Factorio for real engineering.
