If an anti-trans Democrat gets the nomination in 2028, I will not be able to vote for them. An anti-trans Democrat winning the election is a worse outcome for trans people than Republicans winning another 4 years. In that scenario, we can try again in four years to get a trans friendly Democrat elected. But if the transphobes take over the Democratic Party as well as the Republican Party? We've lost our rights for a generation.
