I'm a devout Christian.

I think most people assume that if you're not loudmouthed about it, it must not be important to you. Others have just had so many negative experiences with Christianity. I have complicated feelings about that.

    Ditto atheism. I don't believe in souls, afterlives, free will, any of it. But because I'm not constantly trying to debunk theists people have assumed I'm at least agnostic.

    +1 here especially after splitting from our local church building to launch a house church. The culture around us seems to only want acquaintance-level relationships but I want what I read in the Acts church with real brotherly love and living life with one another.

    Also we have 10 kids so constantly get asked if we know what causes that... (answer: yes, adoption).
