"The couple are currently vacationing in Italy with Stevens' mother before traveling together in the coming days to Israel, where Turkish’s father was born in Haifa and he still has family. Turkish's grandparents were Holocaust refugees, he said.
The main purpose of the trip is to meet with survivors of the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas assault on Israel, including a visit to the site of the music festival in southern Israel that was attacked, said Turkish and Stevens, who is co-chair of the Bipartisan Congressional Hostage Task Force."
