Don't underestimate the stupidity of ultra-geeks. Maybe that's a good thing for both Linux and BSD. The first loses a few annoying loud geeks who didn't contribute anyway, and the latter gets more traction due to loud geeks advertising it in their hackerspaces where other, more useful, geeks reside. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] racketlauncher831@lemmy.ml 1 point 5 days ago (1 child) Do you have anything else to contribute to this discussion besides using the word "geek"? Avoiding addressing the opponent directly does not make your comment non-aggressive. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] helix@feddit.org 2 points 4 days ago I specifically said "loud geek". I don't have an issue with geeks themselves. By all means, switch to BSD, but don't yap about it irrelevantly in a thread about Linux. You tell me I have nothing to contribute to the discussion, yet your comment didn't include anything to discuss, just a personal announcement. permalink fedilink source parent
