good or appropriate

That's a stretch. Its fine if there's something that put you off the series, that you don't "see yourself" in it, but I don't think its a form of intergenerational warfare.

I won't deny there's a narrative emphasis on the competence of the older cast. But the antagonists were robots and shapeshifters (the changelings were scary AF) not young people. Its marketed to older fans of TNG.

What do you think about Starfleet Academy? Younger cast, younger emphasis and appeal. Took a minute but I thought it got pretty good, I look forward to the next season and I'm bummed its getting cancelled. Prob has to do with Ellison and the right wing freaks in charge of Paramount. But ultimately, I found S3 to be much less reactionary of a narrative than the first two seasons.

lol what? no i'm an old head. s3 of picard is literally about some bullshit that infects only young people. the next generation if you will. fucking wild for the tng capstone (even though All Good Things was perfect) to be built around that.

it's not commentary on anything, it's anti- torch passing, still reactionary, and it parallels the ossification of government and culture that we're going through now.

the only thing i know about academy is that someone ate their combadge and it was a common enough event to exasperate the doctor.
