Another one bytes the dust. Vex is a YouTube (gaming oriented) tech channel with over 200k subscribers. He just switched and started his journey to Linux. It's a 46 minutes video, so there is lot of coverage. I think its always interesting to see of someone switching to Linux and documenting it in public, especially someone with lots of followers (OK its not a PewDiePie... but still).

I've had this Windows laptop, the Zephyrus G16. It is fast, has a beautiful display, lightweight, well-built... but it runs Windows 11. That has always been nagging me that it is holding it back, and I have only heard amazing things about Linux for the efficiency and customizability. So let's see what it can actually do.

There is also a new trend, where some newcomers from Windows don't want to rely on the community and ask Ai bots instead. I'm not a big fan of doing that if you are new to a subject, but on the other hand it can be helpful if the community gets toxic, and they (I mean some random people) say it helped them. So that is another thing we have to deal with, hallucinations and such.

BTW I think there are two types of RTFM, The Read the Fucking Manual and the other explaining and helping as much and then pointing to the documentation for more, let's call it Read The Fine Manual. :-) So yes, I do not like people just dropping and leaving the asking person helpless with the advice they should read the manual. But I'm a fan of helping and giving them a specific link to a part where the documentation can help further than I can.
