I've heard a "news" segment discussing the popularity of ready made meals from the grocery store, but that does reflect reality or is it mere fiction? If it were the case: is it because they don't know how to cook at all? Is it due to lack of time left for meal preparation after work or due to cost of living so purchasing those is cheaper?
With each passing year more adults are impoverished and/or working multiple jobs for up to 100 hours a week, leaving little time for healthier activities like cooking. (And this state of being remains no matter which ruling party holds power.)
Also, ready-made and frozen meals are generally inexpensive.
