Should I Read a Brian Hebert Dune Novel? (lemmy.ca)

I have read all of the Frank Hebert novels several times and adore them. Even God Emperor of Dune. I have never read any of the Brian novels because I hear they are such trash. But now 40 years after first reading Dune I am starting to question that decision. Should I?

Imagine if a great artist had some notebook sketches, and his son finger-painted all over them and then tried to sell them.

I've already started Hunters of Dune. I am going to do follow up post when I finish it and Sandworms. Spoiler: It is...not great...so far.
