The Treaty of Fort Jackson (also known as the Treaty with the Creeks) was signed on this day in 1814 at Fort Jackson in Alabama. The treaty was agreed upon in the aftermath of the defeat of Red Stick (Upper Creek) resistance by U.S. forces at the Battle of Horseshoe Bend.
The treaty was the "largest single Indian cession of southern American land", according to historian Michael Rogin - around 23 million acres in Alabama and Georgia. The U.S. forces won with the battle with the help of allied Cherokee and Lower Creek forces friendly to the American side.
The terms of various treaties with the Creek nation would go on to be consistently violated by Americans colonizing the south.

This includes those of mixed heritage and those who may be "white" but are of an ethnicity that is a minority in their area (i.e. Kurds, etc) If you've experienced oppression due to your identity that is not based on sexual / gender identification, you are welcome here.

Moreover, for our American audience, we have people from around the world who are "white" but are oppressed due to being a minority in their country. They are and should be welcomed here.

British sexpats love to constantly whine and complain about how Hong Kong is being ruined by mainlanders, enabled by white-worshipping Hong Kong liberals. Western media in 1997 also threw a hysterical hissy fit over China “stealing” Hong Kong. The HK subreddit has a meltdown every other day about China trying to brainwash HK students by teaching them that colonialism is bad.
Britain also did the classic thing of sowing seeds of ethnic hatred before they got kicked out so now you have nativist white-worshipping libs doing Hitlerite levels of racism against people that are ethnically and culturally basically identical to them, they themselves being seldom more than 2 generations removed from the mainland. They hate mainlanders even if they are Cantonese-speakers, because they don’t speak it with a Hong Kong accent. It’s a running joke in mainland circles that you are better off speaking Japanese in Hong Kong than Mandarin.
