For everyday use: 4711 Kölnische Wasser. For other ocassions: Kenzo Parfum D'etè (Spelling?) For rare ocassions: Aqua de Loewe. I have some other oils and fragrances that I like but not very fancy. I specially like an eau fraiche called "Cuir vanille" that I bought at a mall kiosk lol.
Echt Kölnisch Wasser is beautiful, it's so fresh and light. I got through a bottle of that stuff in weeks a few summers ago, it's so easy to keep topping up every few hours.
Does your Cuir Vanille have a pineapple top note? I have a couple of unbranded dupes with that name and they both smell like the clone of BDK Creme de Cuir that I have, Meringue by French Avenue.
Yes! yes it does smell like caramelized pineapple right off. I also get some toasted macadamia. I will look for that Meringue TSM.
No worries : ).
Heads up though, if you get a bottle of Meringue you'll need to spray it a few times and then let it sit somewhere cool and dark for a few weeks to sort itself out.
Idk why this is a thing that works to make so many clones better, but it really does.
I'm on my second bottle of Meringue now and those first few sprays were again so acrid and sour, it was unrecognizable against the dregs of my last bottle, and then about 20 days later, the new bottle had somehow caught up and was the perfectly elegant, fruity, white suede and vanilla of thr old one.
Thank you for the heads up! I will definitely do that.
