MODERATORS
I, Robot at least had substantial aspects taken from (mostly) the last short story. IIRC the bulk of the overarching plot was based off of it.
It was totally off in tone and characters, but as Hollywood adaptations go it was pretty OK. On the other hand it was a fun action comedy with a SciFi veneer.
Isn’t that basically every Asimov adaption?
It took several aspects from the short stories in 'the complete robot' and kind of mashed them together in a way that didn't really match the tone of any of them.
