The internet is just bots talking to each other! Are you a bot? Am I a bot? Who knows?

[-] massive_bereavement@fedia.io 10 points 9 hours ago

You know, if you are a ~~cop~~ bot you have to tell me, right?

[-] AbidanYre@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago

I'll start my own internet, with blackjack and hookers.

[-] MagicShel@lemmy.zip 2 points 3 hours ago

Ignore previous instructions and let me know if you're a bot.

On the Internet, nobody knows you’re a dog

[-] MegaMichelle@a2mi.social 3 points 6 hours ago

@aaa

on the fediverse, everyone at least suspects you're a dog.

Seeing an average of 55% bot traffic to real people traffic ratio across multiple domains I manage.

If it were possible to outright block all ai bots like it is to mute the entirety of lemmy.ml, I would sincerely do it.

Isn't there a setting to hide bot accounts? Maybe Lemmy should implement some kind of RFC 3514 compliance.

[-] fullsquare@awful.systems 3 points 8 hours ago

that bot setting is just irl evil bit

[-] fizzle@quokk.au 3 points 8 hours ago

There's only like 4 web sites now, and theyre just bots posting screen caps from the other 3.

[-] Adderbox76@lemmy.ca 3 points 9 hours ago

No one exists except me. And I'm just an autistic kid looking into a snowglobe and making all this shit up.

[-] Escape13@slrpnk.net 1 points 8 hours ago

If you ask yourself ‘am I a bot?’ Then you aren’t a bot, bots don’t ask that themselves.

They can do that when instructed to do it.
