God, fucking... Hamilton. I'm not American so it took me a while to understand what it really is but even as a cracker lmayo whatever, once I understood that the plot was "musical where a bunch of historically significant American slave owners are actually black" all of my flabbers were ghasted

what the ever loving fuck is wrong with all you lot, seriously. It's like if, in "the producers", everyone thought "springtime for Hitler" was unironically good?

    Too many of us buy into American Exceptionalism and refuse to wake up from the Dream. This produces PoC liberals who think the problems of this country can be solved by becoming the oppressors, regardless if they're aware of the term.

    They also believe in whitewashed versions of civil rights, like MLK was all about nonviolence, instead of what he actually was for: civil disobedience and passive resistance.

    I first saw Hamilton in 2020 when it was put on disney+. Watched it with my family and they couldn’t understand why the musical about slave owners played by POCs and set to black music styles was weird to me
