I've met quite a few people who think it's smol bean USA vs Nazis, which in their minds is simply good vs evil and therefore apolitical
Really wish I could say yes, but I know better.
This was posted during the first Trump admin and, if I recall correctly, yes this poster was being glib and knew the empire was half inspired by the US (the other half was Natzi Germany).
More tangential, but I wish timestamps always showed the full year date. None of the massive blog companies will do that though because reposting old screenshots as if they're fresh is a percent chunk of engagement they don't want to lose out on.
Never underestimate libs ability to miss the point. Its the nature of ideology, if reality doesn't match ideology, you're more likely to reject reality than adjust your ideology.
