Ten years ago, I would have recommended windows, but I use the latest windows at work and it is complete dog shit. Sooo much bloat and clunky interfaces, it's a pain in the ass to use.
I've never used MacOS before, but I can't imagine they've fucked up as bad as windows.
It also depends what garbage is imaged onto the machines when you get it.
The windows laptops at my job have so much bloat from Win11, but also bloat from 30 different agents installed onto the machine from different 3rd-party vendors. Even sitting idle there were random spikes to 80% memory utilization.
