Nothing against that. It's actually quite nice to only use one kind of pasta since that way you don't have a bunch of packets with a bit of pasta but not enough to cook.

If I may suggest, I feel it is better to have two types of pasta at all times though. One long and one short, those are the ones which make the biggest difference; keep your mezze penne but maybe add in some spaghetti or linguine. Aglio olio e peperoncino is much better with long pasta, on the other hand something with larger chunks such as a pasta alla norma is generally better with short pasta.
