I can go to a lawyer and tell them to write "8====D" on a letter, then send that letter to you.

If you don't think you did anything wrong, you can legally ignore anything that is not a formal letter from court.

It might be better to answer to tell them that you will not accept slander and libel and all that, but you should probably ask a lawyer for that. An hour of consultation should not cost that much, really.

    OP is not sure whether it was wrong. He hasn't even read all the rules of the house yet. Just guessed them...

    And he needs to look at his money. But by ignoring arbitrary letters, you can easily make things a whole lot more costly in the end.

    This is very very much wrong.

    Here's what would probably happen:

    1. You ignore the cease and desist
    2. Opponent's lawyer goes to a judge and gets a preliminary injunction
    3. You must respond to it AND also cease doing whatever the cease and desist demanded.

    Enjoy doing everything through the courts now, which will always cause higher costs than dealing with it privately. Especially if you aren't 100% in the right.
