Black pepper is an uncountable, so it isn't used in plural. Bell and chilli peppers are count nouns. That, plus the reference picture, should have been clear for most people.

I thought writing 'peppers' instead of 'pepper' was a more likely mistake than calling a completely unrelated plant 'pepper' just because it has that word in one version of its name. My bad.
