Why is it unhinged to consider protecting your neighbours from illegal violence with illegal violence?

    Posts like that one will get you arrested in the country we are talking about. To answer your question thought it's because it's illegal.

    So say it is illegal. Unhinged would be working for the ones doing the illegal violence in the first place.

    But also - It is always moral to protect your neighbours against fascist violence. And morality trumps legality any day (if you have a moral compass beyond just 'following orders')

    If the illegal but moral action ends with you shot against the wall that's pretty sad I'm sure there are moral and legal options.
