He's been talking about it for years and from what I've seen has never shown a single thing. He seems to jump around between different vaguely related side hustles.
He might be a fraud. Don't know. It's a good initiative anyway. I've been waiting for FOSS DIY cars to become popular for 15+ years. Don't know why it never really takes off. Well, probably because of the big players lobbying/preventing, regulations and the lack of capital.
Idk. I wouldn't be shocked if he came out with some sort of neighborhood mobility kit car that costs $30k. There are actually already multiple "car" options that are similar but none are FOSS and all are basically glorified gokarts that aren't street legal. I imagine this will end up being the same kind of thing, a wealthy persons play toy.
I think it's a bit the other way around. The "side hustles" ARE his main gig and how he raised the money to buy the warehouse. The car gig is the dream gig he wants and is working toward and is hoping social media can get him there.
I mean, cool. But has he actually shown anything? So far I've just seen well edited videos and nothing of substance other than owning a warehouse. 🤷
