Sticks can be lightsabers, great swords, staves, walking sticks, katanas, guitars, hockey sticks/golf clubs, and hundreds of other things.

A rock is a rock.

A rock can be a dragon egg, a magical talisman, a portable forcefield, a gold nugget, a skipping stone, a pet, a communicator, or even just a rock.
