Yes, parenting existed before iPads. That doesn't imply that everything they used to do to cope with similar situations was correct, or better. Previous generations of parents used to do things that would terrify us now.

Thank you for saying this. I used to judge parents of kids on screens until I had my own. You never know what's going on and there's a chance that the 30 minutes of quiet that family is getting from the iPad is the only peace they've had all day.

Everytime I see this warning, I become hyper aware of every single one and it freaks me out.

Was a OnePlus user for years. Had the original device, the 3, 5 and the 7 pro since launch. I replaced the battery in my 7 pro and put lineage on it just to keep it going.

My idiot brain jumped off a boat last week with it in my pocket and I assumed I would just get the new one. But no unlockable bootloader means I need to look elsewhere.

Today marks the 14th consecutive day of me logging food. I did this for 3 years straight and I've forgotten how mildly annoying it was. If you're just starting or have been doing it for years, I got you.

Not a doctor, and you should definitely talk to one before trying it, but I have found Eno to be remarkable in solving gaseous bloating.

If I could get over the crippling anxiety of meeting new people, I'd be happy to hang out with anyone regardless of who they like.

I have a little collection of these sitting on top of my refrigerator. No one knows it's there. It's my little secret.

Does anyone have friends that see more than 2-3 times a year?

I've never been great at meal prep, but my schedule these days doesn't really support making great dinner decisions when I'm tired/hungry.

What are some things I can make on Sundays to manage dinner for most of the week?

Not sure how active this place is, but loseit on the other place was instrumental in my original 80lb weightloss and I'm hoping if I post here, I can hold myself accountable.

I've started creeping up in weight over the last year and I'm now 30 lbs heavier than I want to be. I've been trying to come up with excuses as to why, but it really just boils down to poor food choices.

On the positive side, I've been training for a half-triathlon (750m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run) and it's going well. I did a trial run of it last week and was able to finish without issue. If I can drop some of this weight, I know it'll go that much better and reduce my chances of injury.

If anyone is here and needs some motivation, I'm here with you. We can do this together.
