Tarot were initially invented in Italy centuries before your country even existed. It is well-known all over Europe. Including German Grosstarok and modern examples such as French Tarot and Austrian Königrufen. It is now used all over the world. The US is but a small blip on its history.
So no, you can't tell they are American.
I'm Estonian, we don't do god, tarot and other similar superstitions as much here. Only some fringe lunatics do. Mostly you see tarot in American movies because Americans are the kinda people who believe that kind of bullshit but then I guess maybe western Europe is America lite since y'all literally spawned America. I just never thought western Europe was also this far gone.
