It is a business. What would you have them do?

They are a major corporation, and a telecommunications company at that. Their bottom line isn't exactly shrinking. Many companies operate industry related public arms at a loss as a promotional department. Them simply operating a radio station is massive marketing, and if done right, can earn a lot of public goodwill.

Rogers is a huge company. Those scenarios would have been considered, and rejected. Simple reason is not enough demand for the product. Same reason we don't have the McRib.

Interwebs search says they were getting about 2,000 listeners per show. So truly not many cared.
