Is this a joke? Everyone on the Fediverse has been talking about the outrageous name of the latest GNU Parallel release, and that it is hosted on a Nazi-run blockchain.
Here it is for the downvoters: GNU as a warm inclusive community.
GNU Parallel release named "rape gang inquiry" after a project by a farn-right UK politician. That's not a "random headline", that's a dog whistle.

current release is "rape gang inquiry".
i don't know how or why releases get named by the project and have no idea about the blog chain stuff.
Did they finally fix the issues found in the EpstienFiles release or Hantavirus mostly fix those? /s
Honestly I kind of get the dark humor, its fucking insane how those things kind of loom in the modern world.
I agree that the release name is highly disappointing to say the least.
But I don't get the thing about the nazi block chain. I really don't understand what you're talking about. Sorry in advance for my ignorance.

Jesus fucking Christ. OK!
Edit: To add to my reaction, it's really shameful how difficult it is to rally behind anything these days in the IT world. Every time a business is mentioned, it seems everyone and their mother is some kind of fascist ass hole or a greedy corporate billionaire looking for any means to make an extra buck, including breaking the law and getting people assassinated.
And the vast majority of the time, it's a man. I honestly have a difficult time to find any man to look up to as a good example these days. There are very few.
On the other hand, women and LGBTQ people have been really inspiring. I've found personal heroes among them.
