It is true that the US usually attacks Iran on Fridays. However, last Friday was July 3 and July 4th was the US's 250th birthday.
Iran is holding the funeral of Ayatollah Khamenei, the former leader of Iran that was assassinated by the US. The funeral is from July 2 to 9. The funeral is expected to have around 30 million attendees across Iran. Iran has said that if the US attacks the funeral, then there will be harsh retaliation.
In interpret that the US wanted to attack during the funeral but did not want to attack during July 4 weekend.
