“If Trump was putting his name behind it, it must be a legitimate investment,” one woman told the news organization.

“This is a woman who spoke to Reuters,” Bash said. “She put $2,000 of her savings into the $TRUMP meme at the end of May. Her $TRUMP holding was worth less than $120, she now thinks it was just a pump-and-dump scheme. The second investor, Matt, a 45-year-old machinist in Indiana, put $40,000 into $TRUMP family tokens … Matt’s shares have dropped 79% in value since he bought them for a loss of about $32,700. He does not blame the Trump family.”

I also remember reading that trading the coin was disabled for everyone but a select few people. Meaning the coins are actually worth $0 because even if you time it right, you literally cannot send the coin anywhere.

Unless that was about another scam coin they did. Hard to keep track.

Also, Hunter's laptop, guys. It's a really big deal, guys.

I've heard of that meme coin thing before. Isn't that what happened to that spit girl?

I tried finding the article I remember reading but couldn't find it. Was only finding articles about people getting scammed and then saying it's not Trump's fault. And I had to give up the search before being forced to actually kill myself.

    spit girl

I dunno what you're referring to...

Hawk tuah girl who dragged out her 15 minutes to 6 months. $HAWK founders were charged by SEC for pumping and dumping $490M. Case is still in court. She was originally not in the lawsuit, but then she was investigated, but by 2026 they concluded she was just a paid spokesperson and they dropped her from the suit.

I have zero sympathy for investors looking to make free money. Work for your money.

Just another meme coin person. She gave an interview with that channel 5 guy. She mentioned that nobody could really do anything with the coin because it was frozen and either that was illegal or what was occuring while it was frozen.

A speculation only market and these meme coins seem bunk from the word go.

Yeah, but there are at least ones that a lucky person could time, and sell around the same time as the people who are orchestrating the scam, and make a lot of money.

In this case, I'm pretty sure they couldn't even do that.
