This article is clearly not written by someone who listens to electronic music because they just hopped like 4 different genres, Daft Punk and Aphex Twin don't do anything close to dubstep and this music isn't either and techno isn't really in the picture at all. It's still really cool but idk why they had to try to compare it

For most people "Techno" is synonymous for electronic music

yea, and that's interesting because as a genre, actual techno had it's heyday like 30 years ago, it's still around for sure but it's not near as popular as other genres. it's just kind of interesting how that worked out haha.
