Whether it was explained differently, or a foundational bit of knowledge made it click, how did you finally understand?

No politics โ€“ I'm thinking along the lines of math/programming, language, crafts, etc.

Whistling was a mystery to me for years. I kept trying and eventually found a mouth shape that worked. I can't whistle with my fingers though, like some people do. That one's still a mystery

Whistling is just magic, I don't remember how/when it clicked for me but it's like that!
