I was speaking with a friend yesterday who had no idea French had a guttural R, so I don't think it's common knowledge. It was home to the aryan nations neo-nazi compound until the year 2000. The neo-nazi scene has become a bit more scattered since then, but there are still more than a dozen hate groups operating in the area.
