This is what happens when economists think they know anything outside of their field. In the socialist republic they will be reminded of their place daily: you just crunch the numbers, that's it.
I don't understand why dividing on this line is worth so much political attention. A socialist society has much more important things to debate than the 5 trans atheletes in the world. Let people's personal lives be whatever, why waste energy condemning random categories of human gender and sexual expression.
All categories, including gender, are social constructs, so there will always be outliers. To force these outliers into our artificial boxes is a stupid waste of time.
At best, they think that socially reactionary messaging will attract rednecks to socialism. This is sorely misguided. People are taught to blame gays, trans, blacks, etc. for their woes instead of capitalists (e.g. People seem to imply trans people are stealing Medicare by continuously wasting money on gender transitioning back and forth every other day. People only worry about this because Medicare is so underfunded).
If we instead focus on addressing their monetary woes directly, people will soon forget about why they even gave a shit about hating minorities and different genders. HasanAbi has talked about this, on how the left needs to ignore conservatives' anti-trans noise and just focus on how they can help economically.
Conceding these points to conservatives, or even agreeing to make them a primary point of debate on campaign, is akin to agreeing with their choice of battlefield and is basically an admission of defeat.
Naah, I refuse to compromise on trans safety issues. Especially after an innocent trans college student got stabbed to death for just being trans a few days ago. Worker liberation cannot exist without queer liberation. We have to call out any and all forms of transphobia and gender-based bigotry within our movement.

Cool word salad Paul, now explain how being trans is teleological

Tell that to ACP chuds and other reactionaries trying revise socialist theory and praxis.
