Signal is drawing a hard line on the federal government’s proposed surveillance legislation: comply with Bill C-22 or leave the country. Traditionally 2 spaces after the period at the end of a sentence is correct. It is still considered correct to this day, though is the "old" method.

1 space is not the only correct way.
