I think almost everything on YT is consumption porn of some sort. It's short clips/vids with the relevant subjects equivalent of porno moaning - food influencers groaning about the cheese pull or the crumb shot, mechanics hooting about performance car parts, gun guys jizzing their pants over the newest elephant gun that shoots a caliber larger than a Foster's beer oil can.

It's all maximized for oohs and aaaahs, everything has to be slick AF, and ready to be ogled appropriately. YouTube is a net negative for us as humans. The positives are well outweighed by the downsides.
