My current phone is old and just recently my bank app stopped working because the phones android version is too far behind. Is there any way to load Graphene OS on an android phone, and would it maybe help me get around having to use the website for my banking now?

If it's not a Pixel, it's currently not possible. If you don't need the security features of GrapheneOS, you could look into LineageOS on a wider range of supported devices.

Currently GrapheneOS is only supporting Pixel phones - and not sure about the oldest ones, that get supported
