[–] 1984@lemmy.today 2 points 3 years ago (3 children) What is sun tea? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 3 child comments replies: [–] OnichiCub@beehaw.org 3 points 3 years ago (2 children) Tea brewed over a couple to few hours in the sun. Drop some teabags into a large glass container, seal it up, and place it into sunlight. Works best on especially hot days, as you can run the risk of bacteria if it doesn't get to a hot enough temperature to kill it. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] 1984@lemmy.today 3 points 3 years ago (1 child) Interesting. Why not use a water boiler? Does it taste differently when warmed up slowly by sun? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] OnichiCub@beehaw.org 1 point 3 years ago* (last edited 3 years ago) I suspect some folks would say yes, there's a taste difference, but I'm not real sure there is. For me it's something my Grandma made, so it has that special comfort angle. permalink fedilink source parent
