Wait have you actually done one of those low level runs?? BB is the game where I haven't had the courage to try. How do you just not get hit in the From game with guns and mile-wide hitboxes?

Not in its entirety but most of it. I got to the very end of the game and didn't go for the final boss to go for the DLC instead. There I got stuck at Living Failures, I think, because there was some trick I had to learn to make the fight manageable, but I just didn't have it in me at that point. Ludwig was a nightmare tho.

And apart from knowing the game quite well from my numerous playthroughs prior as well as a very thorough BL4 guide I followed during my playthrough, there's not a lot to do other than to just try and try and try again :D

Holy damn. Kudos, Bloodborne doesn't even have any incentives for low BL victory. That's just pure love for the game.

What do you mean by incentives? Do other souls games reward you somehow for doing an SL1/RL1 run?

Yeah so there's more potent versions of the rings you can find in the DS series, DS2 added new phantom ambushes in NG+. I think one in particular has unique armor and gear. Ds3 had this AMAZING sword that takes 2 almost complete playthroughs to receive. Nobody uses it so it's a little harder to predict its moves

I started my first low level playthrough after the first time I got invaded by a player with NG+ gear and I wanted to get revenge on people who do that. So that was my incentive, though maybe I should have called it a motive.

Not for SL1/RL1, afaik. However, iirc, DS2 does give you a set of rings for doing no bonfires and no estus. (One ring makes your right hand weapon invisible, the other makes the left hand weapon invisible.)
