Why did you pick Russia over China, Vietnam, Laos, DPRK? Russia isn't socialist and there is critical support for them at best.

Also preempting this I am Chinese, I live in a Chinese built house, typing on a Chinese phone, does that make my criticism of the genocidal imperialist Euro-Amerikan empire more valid?

Don't have a basement, but either way it's more and more obvious that the only path forward for humanity in general and the people living in the US Empire in particular is global socialism. To make that happen, the US Empire needs to fall, and ideally a socialist state needs to take its place. This is the number 1 historical task for the working classes in the imperial core.

That said, my spouse and I have considered the possibility of moving to the PRC eventually, but that doesn't seem to be in the cards right now.

Alhamdulilah I am not in the West. My car is Chinese, my laptop is Chinese and my phone is Chinese.

1. Russia's not socialist. Either you still think Russia is the USSR or you're insinuating every socialist is apparently a Russian shill.

2. This might surprise you, but immigrating to socialist countries like China, Cuba, Vietnam, etc from the West is not as simple "just buy a plane ticket there." They're not exactly crazy about a bunch of Westerners moving there after all the West has done to them. You don't get to "just move" to whatever country you want, you have engage with their immigration system, get a visa, get a work permit, etc etc, you know, the same things immigrants to the West need to do.

3. Even if you do all that, you're still not entitled to immigrate to a country just because you want to or because you ideologically align with them. You generally need to have a skill that the country you're immigrating to has a demand for and can't fill with its own population before they'll let you move there, you know, exactly like how immigration to the West works. I'm sure there are MANY people here that would love to live in a socialist country. Physically being able to go there is not the barrier for them.

I own very little, but it's all made in China or locally. And yes, if I was living in the core and able to move, I probably would move.
