There is ... so much I can say about the heartbreaking things the immigrant community is experiencing here in the US. [But I won't lol, instead I'll talk about how Cuba yearns for regime change]

Who is this even for? Is there some audience for neoconservative wars with a low-effort liberal facade? Have we regressed from repeating 2016 to now repeating 2004?

    It's to downplay actions of the US by demonizing its enemies. If you make it a point about how much worse other countries are, you justify the conditions at home. "The US is bad but it's still the best there is. We may have paramilitary death squads murdering people in the street, but at least we don't have communist gangs out murdering people in their own plantations homes!"
