Just messaged my assembly member asking to vote against it. I suggest those who live in the state to do the same thing too.
Messaging your representatives is a waste of time and only exists to make you feel good about yourself.
The only way to fix problems like this is to vote for better reps, but we're too stupid to do that so the problem doesn't get solved.
Messaging your reps actually works, though. If enough people flood the lines, the information will be passed to the rep and they don't usually feel good about it. It can actually change their voting - if you look on Bluesky you'll see various campaigns of line flooding that HAVE yielded results.
Your post is extremely suspicious because it feels like you're actively trying to undermine and depress the voter into not doing something effective for some nefarious reason. No one without ulterior motives has ever tried to say calling or messaging your reps does nothing.
