MODERATORS
Well how do you increase shareholder value in a company producing the same shit year after year? Milking your "customers" (more like victims) harder.
The customers and their own products??? like, the fucking dipshits rely on these apps and the developers of them to be willing participants in the Apple ecosystem, especially to be willing participants in the native Apple ecosystem.
Native apps or what keeps People tied to Apple products, and if app developers feel that investment is under threat they will move to cross platform tools, or even the web. Both of those surrender far too much control for apple's liking.
That's future Apple's problem.
You can only use safari on ios which again locks developers into the apple ecosystem. It doesn't even work properly on iPhones with less RAM and constantly refreshes Web pages making the experience unusable. I'll never buy an iPhone again.
My brother swears by those bloody phones. No clue why. Rest of my family calls Apple "Crapple". Always knew why my dad does, he's very technical and understands the reasons they suck. My mum, though, I assumed just trusted his judgment... until I recently finally got the whole story. When they were living together in their first student flat, they had an Apple computer they shared for writing their papers. Mum once lost days of work on a paper when the computer crashed on her - she'd saved it recently, but the system crash corrupted the file. She's hated "Crapple" ever since. (That woman... when a piece of technology screws her over badly enough, she holds the grudge forever. I aspire to someday be as good at holding anger and using it productively/to avoid poor choices and being burned twice as she is.)
