AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.

The alternative is running everything by committee, which isn't always practical.
You can have a single person in charge without them having the title "CEO".
Making your title CEO is also basically accepting a lot of the cultural baggage that comes with the term.
That's all it is, semantics and connotation. The person in charge of the whole thing is by definition CEO unless it's a board.
Semantics and connotation are important.
