Having multiple POC and LGBTQ characters, including a married couple seems like the next logical step for the series and is still fairly progressive for a mainstream sci-fi series. Even The Orville, which I've heard people say is better than nutrek, is barely as progressive as even TNG. What did they do wrong with these characters? Genuinely. My main issue with nutrek is the melodrama.
