Nowadays I usually cook my own food, but recently I've been trying canned soups again, and I'm astonished how bad most brands are. Campbells or Progresso are either bland or taste actively terrible. The only ones I've tried that actually taste good are usually kinda expensive, like Amy's or Snow's. Our sense of taste seems to diminish as we age, but also we get exposed to more and more complex flavor profiles as we go through life. I’m an amateur “chef” or at least a cooking enthusiast. I’ve had to ask for more help checking flavors as I’ve gotten older.
